The PS5 Pro costing $700/€800 without a vertical stand reminded me of this.

It really is such a greedy bastard move that they can’t include the stand knowing that it is almost essential and that it’s a couple of fucking cents worth of plastic. Welcome to 2024 where you are nickle and dimed at every turn, because a bunch of greedy fucks need to see the line go up and up.

Not only that, but the disc drive not being there either is huge for all those who already own a large physical collection. The day before the reveal I thought maybe I’d trade mine into GS for that $415 offer but that died quickly.

They have a chance to do something really funny when it comes to reviewing the PS5 pro.

Fashionista alert:Who knew the peak of 2001 chic was a vertical PS2?Forget Prada, we’re all about that PlayStation posture.

I mean… it is the gaming industry. Micro purchases are a staple and not just relegated to online stores.

That is why I am thrilled with the rise of indie studios making larger games, they are more worried about the quality than the nickel and dime.

At least the PS2 stand was designed to also hold like 8 game cases, so you could have your favorite games right next to the system.

Gotta recover from the Concord fiasco somehow, and what a better way than punishing your current and potential customers /s

I never understood the Vertical Stand on any console. It can get knocked over so easily.
