In early csgo we had seperate maps for competitive and casual. “se” versions of the map had removed fog and other effects. Why are we now making visibility worse… it’s like we’re going backwards.
never had visibility issues in CS2 – and in 1000hours of CS2 i never actually noticed impact of those particle effects, dark af CSGO was way worse in that regard.

is there no way to turn them of with lower settings? i never noticed this and im playing with most things on low. but maybe i just havent payed attention to it.
edit: never mind this is even present on lowest settings. now i have a legit reason to hate on these maps, especially dust, nice.

Sure these can be improved as well, but imo the best thing about cs2 is obviously the graphics (visibility) and smokes. Maybe if we get map based factions, its easier to expect and react to enemy models.
I think the whole design choice of cs2 is driven by the importance of visibility in cs.
