I returned to PUBG with my friends almost a year ago, and recently we found out that it was discovered that the weapon pullout animation speed is faster on weapon slot 2 as described in this video:

I cant seem to find anything stating that this should have been fixed, but maybe some of you veteran players can help give me a definitive answer? It seems to have been discovered back in 2020 and the video is from 2022, but is it still faster in 2024?

If they ever “fixed it” I never got the memo, or noticed – I still put SR in 1, AR in 2… but I’m pretty sure it is an intended feature so there shouldn’t be anything to fix. Regardless it’s still good habit to have a consistent slot for your long range (top) and short range (bottom) to avoid any embarrassing noobie moments by mixing up your guns.
It’s not a bug, it’s a feature.. Also just log-in and try it and you will see that the animation is still different..
Swapped my binds for weapon slots way back so I didn’t have to learn new layout.
I think it’s still in the game.
