well tbh when pictures were invented artists were wining about how they were going to replace paintings but art evolved and survived, if you feel in danger you are not a real artist

The main issue with AI art is the fact that the AI is trained on real art created by real people that most likely weren't paid to have their art used in such a way, it's basically the same as stealing art for a skin or sticker like with the Howl, Loving Eyes, Doodle Lore and so on. This could definitely become an issue if the AI that made the album cover for that music produced something very similar to what it was trained on giving somebody a potential copyright case against Valve.
I'm not sure if you understand how AI generated art works, because AI actually replicates copyrighted art without permission, so in short (they are basically plagiarising, which is why a lot of art schools are putting this in the plagiarism category. Hope this clears up and makes you rethink if this is not that big of a deal or not. 🙂
It's not that big of a deal, and AI is not going anywhere and will only get better. I do understand where artists are coming from but it is not here to steal your job. Learn how to use it with your own art style and create something that is not "lifeless".

People dont understand that using AI is so disrespectful to the people who dedicated their ENTIRE lives to making good art. Some of the best artists in the world die a early death from working so hard everyday just to have their work stolen by a machine. Just think about that for a second.

people should accept ai and adapt FFS, back in the 1900s we had whole ass revolutions and people thought no work is gona be left for us and we still work, there are too many artists and no, ai ain't go a replace you, many people want human made art but I really like ai art
It’s taking potential work away from real graphic artists. I’m not surprised a person who makes skins for a living (digital artist) is upset about this. You might not care about the album art for a music kit, but there are tons of graphic artists who would kill for an opportunity to get their work into a game this size and who probably wouldn’t charge that much as it’s more about exposure. Just having AI do it is taking an opportunity away from a real human being. On top of all of that, use of AI is piracy, straight up. I think artists and creators have every right to be upset by this. It’s not the end of the world in of itself, but it could be the beginning of a dangerous trend.
