no.. would be such a boring ending to a close game. it’s a team game

So is this is why we have no functional anti cheat yet, they have been working hard onto new OT mechanics since 2022. Thanks Obama!

Blast did something similar a few years ago, remember zonic vs s1mple?

I love this idea but it should only happen after 12-12 + 1 more overtime

1 more overtime will be count as 30 Minutes extra time in football ( soccer )

The 1 v 1 will equivalent to penalty shootout

The 1 v 1 will happen between top vs top, 2nd vs 2nd ( like that)

Each 1 vs 1 will consist of 5 rounds and best of 3 wins. So total 25 rounds in total if its goes to to maximum

Could actually be a fun way to end casual games in mm. But definitely not in premier, faceit and pro games

  6. For qualification matches and not major tournaments, sure… Why not have something different, to make sure matches go according to schedule.

Literally the most hated thing about football (soccer). No one likes when games end in penalties. Everyone loves when games end in 8 times OT.

  8. 1v1s arent a good metric to measure a teams collective skill.

This is more like a penalty shoutout than extra time.

  10. There are a lot of problems with this idea but the most blatantly obvious issue is the scoreboard matching. For some teams, the bottom fragger is actually the best player. Plays safe, doesn’t take unnecessary risks, peeks together, provides suppressive fire, uses nades, but doesn’t score that many kills. Also, the top fragger might have just been the guy guarding the site that was attacked the most (imagine playing spawns and one guy always goes where the T’s go by coincidence, or vice versa). So what you end up with is almost a completely random set of 5 1v1s that are almost guaranteed to be in favor of one of the teams based on how they get matched up.

    Quick proof by counter-example:

(premise. assume the format is fair, meaning better team wins)

team A 2 best players get matched with 2 worst team B players and win easily. The remaining 1v1s are close, but team B barely manages to scrape by because team B’s top 3 players are playing against team A’s worst players. In this situation, team A is arguably better, but loses. Premise doesn’t hold; proof by counter example.

Ew there’s nothing worse than watching your sports team lose in a shootout after a exciting tied game.

  12. I already don’t like the overtime mechanic in MM12, this would just be so much worse. Either give us MM15 back or let games tie at 12:12.

    Don’t hate it.

I prefer OT. But not everyone has time to play a shit load of OT. We all queue up sometimes when we have time for a match but only just.

I would make CS have one ot two OT’s no matter what. But after that people have a life. Let them vote at 2x OT and decide to continue, 1v1 or draw

  14. Why not? Haha that would be so cool. But a 18:18 and then 1v1s. Game has a limit. Today, some cs games may never end. You have a possibility to play a infinite game of cs. This ends with that stuff.

Faze would either massively win this, or lose it. Because karrigan in most cases would be the last matchup guy. Now think, its 2-2, and karrigan is on the line for an aim match. He is not that bad, but for pro level, he is not great either.

Its a team game, 1v1 is boring since you just a,d,a,d and trade until you headshot them. Makes lineups and learning of maps and special callouts pointless.
