ok for a first gaming pc?

Hi, I’m a console gamer and I’m wanting to switch to pc and start streaming. I don’t know much about gaming pcs though I’m trying to learn

I’m thinking of buying this pc secondhand, I plan on playing games like overwatch and streaming on twitch. Are the specs decent for the price? Would it be a good first pc?

I really appreciate any help thanks so much

Hello Plane-Avocado3202, and thank you for your submission to Gaming PC! If you are new please check out our rules over at the wiki [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/gamingpc/wiki/rules)!
We have recently added the useful feature of Title Flair! You can set this manually by clicking Flair under your post once you have submitted your post, but if you missed it in the rules there is a much better way that will automatically flair your post!

To do this simply add what your post is about in brackets before your title. For example for a Build Log you can type [Build Log] before your post so that it looks like this; [Build Log]My new awesome build!, and the bot will automatically set your flair to Build Log! This works for Build Log, Build Showcase, News, Hardware News, Hardware Release, Discussion, and Miscellaneous!

Also remember that this is a place for discussing and sharing our love of Gaming Computers! This is NOT the place for help building or determining what parts you should buy, that is better suited for /r/buildapc. Troubleshooting questions should be directed to /r/techsupport. Thank you again!

That’s old. You can do better for the same price range buying new.

If you can get that price down to $400 CAD, I’d say that’s worth it. You’re getting a 6-year old pc, give or take. You’ll want to drop in a faster CPU and GPU sooner rather than later, that 1660 is only good for 1080p medium AAA games currently.

HOWEVER, if you can make that price a little more appealing, that could be a very fun rig.

If the seller really is firm on price, hold onto your money and look for a better deal or save up enough to build new, if that’s feasible for you. Getting a PC that’s crappy out of the gate is pretty depressing as a first experience.

Buying second-hand is a good idea at that price, try to look for a PC with at least a 6650XT or preferably 6700XT GPU, a better CPU and at least 16GB RAM, I’d say these are the most important things.

    Good luck!
