PC

So FedEx just send my computer and arrive like this:

Mind you that I put ALL of effort to protect my pc I put save everything, also it was only 2 day arrival, do you think I'll get a damage coverage? Cause this is crazy. It came dead and the thing that was attached to the GPU BROKE. ¿ANY ADVICE?

Was this a purchase? Or did you ship your own pc? Generally speaking, gpus should be removed and shipped separately.

  2. Milk_Cream_Sweet_Pig

We’re you the one who shipped the PC? Because you should’ve removed the GPU.

  3. canyouread7

Looks like improper packing to me. It should be filled with foam or insta-pak, and the GPU should be removed.

  4. Material_Tax_4158

Were you the one that shipped it or did you order it. If you shipped it like this its your fault

  5. Key-Plan-7449

Yeah YOU broke the computer by shipping it improperly

  6. If it’s you that packed the PC then it’s on you cuz that’s just improper packaging. If it’s the seller that packed the PC then you should get a refund or at least part replacements.

  7. If you put in “all the effort” to protect your pc you would’ve removed the gpu.

Unfortunately this is your own fault

  8. I’m guessing OP sent this cause any reputable company wouldn’t wanna pay for this and would’ve packed it right and removed the GPU

  9. KelpoDelpo

Hopefully the Gpu pins are still intact. Best case-$200 for a mobo

  10. You clearly didn’t do everything to protect your PC, there’s a reason PCS are shipped with the GPU removed or with custom cut foam pieces to support the GPU during shipping, this is entirely on you

  11. Repulsive_Log5241

Senders fault for not removing/packing the card.

  12. DangerMouse111111

You have to pay for damage cover *before* you send things.

  13. mmmm pretty sure this was nicked from somewhere. I saw a video from the manufacturer on tik tok for this, apologising that it arrived the way it did and agreeing to get a replacement back to the purchaser asap.

  14. shakedownbg

I think your GPU is installed on the wrong slot

  15. the-content-king

This is all on you for improper packaging dude. No way you had hard foam in there or support brackets installed to keep parts (GPU specifically) in place

  16. Dexember69

    Perfection.

    Did you tip them?

You’ve really gotta be trying, to fuck something up that bad

  17. AdPlannedpocolaspe

Go back in time and actully do everything, you don’t ship a pc with a modern GPU installed, hopefully they’ll help you but if you packed it I wouldn’t hold me breath. Hey on the brightside it’s new pc time though!

  18. Has the ram always been squashed to the side by the cpu cooler?

  19. TheGrandFinale2001

Well, everyone here has said all things about shipping your PC. The damage is done now, so at this point, you basically need to go back to FedEx. I’m not entirely sure, but unless you paid for damage coverage, I’m not sure what you can do. Might need to look over the fine print.

  20. TheVeilsCurse

“All the effort” but kept the GPU out to dry with no support?

  21. marinersknight

The gpu man. Why don’t people take it out 🤦🏽

  22. TomTomXD1234

No reply from OP. Safe to assume that he realised he fucked up and not the delivery co.pany.

  23. warmseizuresalad

I’ve never seen an OP hide under the blankets so fast.

Dude ships is computer with FedEx like you would bring it in the passenger seat of his car.

    Good luck with that claim

  24. Twirlin_Irwin

If you had any pc knowledge you would know that leaving the Gpu attached is a horrible idea.

  25. PayDouble4464

To start I work at fedex office so I ship a fair amount of PC’s. If you brought it in pre packed and didn’t claim the value on the shipment you’re going to have a rough time getting anything other than the standard $100 value. It’s not impossible if fedex packed the shipment and didn’t do their due diligence of bubble wrapping and insta-paking it. However we’re not allowed to remove things like GPUs or put anything inside the case. That has to be done prior. But as stated before, if you packed it there’s very little customer service can do because it wasn’t Fedex’s fault the shipment wasn’t properly packed.

  26. You didn’t insure it and you didn’t pack it properly, the fuck do you expect?

  27. OP… Every box gets thrown around. Why would you let them do that without securing everything? C’mon now.

  28. Left the GPU plugged in, no expanded foam to hold everything in place. They toss those boxes around dude. If it wasn’t in the case’s original box with its styrofoam around it and TONS of supporting material inside, you’d have been better off disassembling most of it and boxing up the parts.

Shipping built computers is not a good idea. Even system integrators suck at it and they have things like the expanding foam.

If you didn’t insure it, you’re screwed.

  29. Calarasigara

That sag on the GPU looks quite bad, get a GPU support.

Jokes aside, who in their right mind ships a PC with the GPU (especially such a big and heavy one) inside?

When you ship a PC you either take the GPU out completely or you keep it as is and use those bags that inflate around the GPU such that it cannot move inside the PC.

If it was me, considering how huge that GPU is, I wouldn’t even have gone the foam bags route. Straight up remove the GPU from the PC and ship it separately in its box.

  30. xTheDrunkenGamer

Hope you took photos of the package it came in as well as directly after opening the package, you’ll need proof that it was mishandled otherwise FedEx will say it was the computer companies fault

  31. theonlyalankay

Your fault. Not fedex’s. You should already be aware that your box is gonna get tossed around like a dirty magazine in a boys locker room.

Next time take your gpu out and put stuffing/padding inside the case itself

  32. AshelyLil

    GPU not removed.
    Foam Not Included.
    OP deluded.

  33. Competitive_Joke_966

This is the equivalent of mailing an iPhone in nothing but a thin envelope then blaming the postal company that the screen cracked.

  34. Cheezewiz239

Bruh if you’re gonna ship the gpu attached you need packaging inside. Do you know what these boxes go through

  35. TheExiledLord

What “effort”? You didn’t protect shit.

  36. Just looking at that I would say they didn’t use instapak expanding foam like you are supposed to to protect the internals. No amount of outer protection would change that. I would blame the shipper and not the shipping company.

  37. codesm420

Where was it ? Did you ship it ? If you shipped it you definitely should have took the gpu out. If it’s Brandnew and from a company I would probably ask for a refund cause they definitely shouldn’t of shipped it with the gpu in it 🙁

  38. tehjeffman

Shippers fault for not removing the GPU or using expanding foam bags so it could not move.
