I wonder if the people at Valve are aware that many cheap membrane keyboards are “null keyboards” and that they’ve been around for over 10 years now. This update just made the game pay-to-play, lol.
A plugin named B.A.D. plugin exists for KZ that has a similar overlap-checking system like the one Valve implemented and basically nobody has it on their servers for good reason, it’s prone to annoying false-positives and its very easy to bypass so it’s really just useless.

Tested Drunkdeer A75 with rapid trigger, this keyboard doesnt have SOCD/rap snap released yet, no kick.
But im still getting annoying bug that it sometimes starts walking sideways or doesnt start moving at all. Not too often, about once per match, but its annoying. Its not keyboard issue, it was reported by few other players. Happens since rap snap shitfest started, then it stopped and 2 days ago this bug started appearing again. With null binds it was almost every 5 minutes, without it once per game.
And hell, the key input is weird last times, sometimes its instant, sometimes i feel latency, sometimes it gets mad. But accidental Q input when opening fire works always fine… Need to set liftoff/liftup to 20mm+

You get a cooldown for this too? That’s crazy, especially when it’s just been added and probably needs to be tested for a while to get the values loose/tight enough for detection. I thought, for now at least, that it would just repeatedly kick you. A cooldown seems excessive.
I cant see this being a server side detection mechanism as I would imagine there would be too much margin for error in event timings due to jitter, but I could be wrong.

Have you tried resetting your keybind settings in settings menu? Then restart the game and pc.
