    Is Valve cooking?

  2. This update came with a [blog post](https://www.counter-strike.net/newsentry/6500469346429600836) ([discussion on reddit](https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/1ewe5f3/counterstrike_2_sidestepping_skill/))

    **[ INPUT ]**

    * Certain types of movement/shooting input automation such as hardware-assisted counter strafing will now be detected on Valve official servers, resulting in a kick from the match
    * Input binds that include more than one of the following commands will now be ignored by default. Support can be re-enabled using the cheat-protected convar `cl_allow_multi_input_binds 1`
    * sprint, reload, attack, attack2, turnleft, turnright, turnup, turndown, forward, back, left, right, moveup, movedown, klook, use, jump, duck, strafe, zoom, yaw, pitch, forwardback, rightleft
    * The jump-throw confirmation grunt sound can now be heard by other players nearby

    **[ VacNet ]**

    * Initial testing of VacNet 3.0 has begun on a limited set of matches. If you believe your match was incorrectly cancelled, email us the match details at csgoteamfeedback@valvesoftware.com

  3. SNAP TAP BANNED!

    New login message:
“If you have a keyboard that includes an input-automation feature (e.g., “Snap Tap Mode”) be sure to disable the feature before you join a match in order to avoid any interruption to your matches.”

  4. ZestycloseClassroom3

did we ever have vacnet 2.0 and 1.0?

  5. Nicolson21

    No more snaptap (Nice)
    No more jumpthrows binds (FUCK)

  6. > Initial testing of VacNet 3.0

    No fridge.gif today boys

  7. Diligent-Order-66

Valve really just said “git gud” lol

  8. AJVenom123

I like how it auto-boots you for using snaptap. It’s funny because we’ve endured years and years of blatant spinners not able to get auto-kicked.

  9. ficoplati

This basically makes forward jumpthrows (or any kind of moving jumpthrows) impossible?

Unless you use three buttons at the same time, i feel like it will be practically impossible to hit them consistently.

Also rip de-subticked jumps, GG bhops.
In general rip all movement binds, I doubt the KZ community will be thrilled.

  10. >Input binds that include more than one of the following commands will now be ignored by default. Support can be re-enabled using the cheat-protected convar `cl_allow_multi_input_binds 1`

Does this mean run jump throw binds don’t work anymore? Or even normal jump throws via autoexec commands?

  11. Welp, thanks to Razer multi action binds are kill as well. Thanks, I guess?

  12. Broooo this is the first time, Valve acknowledged the number 3?????, VAC 3??…

HALF LIFE 3 RUMORS IN 2025??…, HOLY SHIT CS3 MIGHT ACTUALLY BE REALLLLLL

VAC 3 GONNA DEMOLISH EVERYTHING. LESSGOOO

  13. GAMESTOP2MOON

haha wtf, tried it on DM and it kicked me, fuuuuuck

  14. lookmasilverone

Valve with the 3.0, HALF LIFE 3 CONFIRMED??????

  15. Scarabesque

I’m getting my hopes up, but I can’t wait for some new hacker forum screenshots of cheaters complaining their $5K inventory account is now banned forever. Please make it so.

  16. Vacnet 3.0? Damn Valve can count that high. Half life 3 confirmed.

  17. I mean this is good and all but why ban jumpthrow binds.

  18. ClaymeisterPL

    VacNet???

Atlast, they told us they are trying to do anything.

  19. holy shit valve used the number 3, it’s actually the end times

  20. MajikoiA3When

Snap tap frauds feeling the heat on this one.

  21. ireallycouldcareless

Glad I never bought that keyboard lmfao

  22. floppydisks2

Did they fix vac timeout bug and team damage in casual bug?

  23. warzonexx

I feel for those suckers who went out and bought this keyboard specifically for cs2

  24. KhmunTheoOrion

Jumpthrows now make sounds audible to the opponent.

Is this going to be significant in competitive play? I assume most setups involving jump throws happen in safe areas without opponents nearby. And jumping itself is not silent anyways.

  25. I think if you need scripts to use basic utility, then they should be difficult. Glad they are banning this kind of bind, but I’d be surprised if more than a tiny minority of the playerbase use them.

  26. FreeWilly1337

Can they now focus on netcode issues. One item that has been driving me a bit crazy lately is that the time delay between tapping a head with the m4a1 and the other player getting aim punched . This creates some odd gameplay. You can 1-tap them, and they can 1-tap you within a certain sub-tick range prior to experiencing the aim punch.

  27. Rappy Snappy is banned on top of Snap Tap functionality. I have a Wooting and just got kicked from a match with Rappy Snappy on

  28. windtunnel1

The numbers designate how many hours Valve has spent on an AC.

  29. If they remove jump throw binds, then there’s no reason to keep the hardcoded 64 tick in 3rd party servers, right?
