  1. It was a very close game with incredible hero plays for sure – but overall the CS in the semis and finals looked pretty weird. It was probably 98% defaulting into taking simple timing peeks and duels or one-flash-setup entries, with a tiny handful of fast executes thrown in. Almost all individual skill based, very small amount of interesting plays.

If you value the skill and the clutches that was great and the grand final certainly delivered because it was so incredibly close, but if you like tactical CS there was next to nothing there.

I think at least a part of the messiness can be explained by both teams having good game plans against each other and countering each other’s more detailed plays, so you’re forced to adapt on the fly which leads to more mistakes.

  4. The game is more peek heavy, alongwith different smokes & mr12. Enough to change how it plays. I still think we should go back to mr15. I hate how quickly games seem to finish.

My opinion on these types of games is you cant play normal cs. Counter strat on counter strat with an ego peek or a smoke walk etc, etc. At a point you gotta do something “weird” just to get 1 entry or 1 lurker into a good spot. The better the players (and team overall) the crazier and more non-cs~esq the game becomes.
