fun fact: since IEM Cologne 2021, teams directly qualified for semis from group stage are the ones reaching the grand final.
Since IEM Cologne 2021, the 2 teams that get directly to semis from group stage are those who reach the grand final: G2 and Navi in 2021, Navi and Faze in 2022, Ence and G2 in 2023, and finally Navi and Vitality in 2024.
I like how astralis made to semis 3/4 times and still lose. And this year doesn’t even make it to playoffs..
Still a cool fact that I didnt know thou

funny how that’s not the case at all with Katowice

People cum in their pants for this format but top 8 teams needing to win a crazy two matches to get to the arena is way too to lenient. Especially when it’s right after a player break where power rankings are likely not very accurate. Vitality played 1 top 10 team and are in the finals.
Also sorry top 6 formats instead of top 8s are lame
Youju
And it was always the “lower” bracket team who won.
NaaaaaRK-
I knew it was scripted all along. Only plot armour could have saved NAVI on Mirage today.
OkOutlandishness6262
and all teams on the lower side of the bracket won, GG Vitality
