PC

I just acquired possibly the stupidest case ever made.

It has space for 8 cd drives, 8 hard drives, 10 pcie slots, and 2 MOTHERBOARDS.

Everybody gangsta until the cooler master cosmos 2 comes around the corner.

If tempered glass was a thing back in the day, that case would have been heavier than the owner…

thats actually 2 cases IIRC, u can put another in the bottom 😀

    *Hello procrastinators!*

Man that takes me back, the YouTuber nerdcubed had one of these and judging by the water marks could actually be his since his watercooling exploded.

If you put one of those 5-CD-ROM switcher drives you would be able to read from 40 discs without changing any of them out (although windows will only allow for 25 drives on top of the hard drive so you would have to change the drive letters as you went)

  5. That’s actually a purpose built case. For burning CDs/DVDs. Stupid? You son fail at understanding many things.

  6. Absolutely stupid, you can make a furniture out of it.

Did you drop choccy milk on the case there?

I remember when both of these launched! Freaking dream chassis. I ended up going with a Thermaltake Level 10 GT. Definitely Chassis of their time!

That def looks like an OG watercooling case with how much plumbing grommets it has.

    > 2 motherboards

OP has never seen a Corsair Obsidian 1000D huh?

    That’s AWESOME. I’d 100% use 2 PCs in this.

I have a Thermaltake Mozart TX that my main rig and file server live in. Big cases that can do 2 systems are fun

Now that’s old school. The rubber grommets is for the water cooling hoses iirc.

It’s as if you asked an ai generator to make a PC case… And then turned it into reality.

Clearly the makers of this PC case were ahead of their time.

(Side note this type of case is exactly what I am looking for, as I am planning to build an ultimate retro gaming machine. I am very jealous.)

Holy shit it’s Sasha! The YouTuber nerdcubed had this case however he didn’t have for long as it decided to exploded due to a faulty water cooling hose.

I’m pretty sure they are fairly collectible and pricey on eBay. This was back when manufacturers took risks in their design choices more often. I feel like we don’t really get any hardware too out of the ordinary right now.

Install HDD converter bays in the empty CD drive bays, and then dual SSD converter mounts the whole way down, and install PCIe SATA expansion cards on the motherboard to make use of all of them. You could get up to 32 SSDs up in there. r/datahoarders would love this case.

    That’s not a tower, that’s a skyscraper

  19. Damn what a monster. Must be designed for some sort of server or dual pc type of build? Can’t imagine why you’d need 2x MOBO. Lots of servers are just one, albeit with vastly different CPU sockets and DIMM capabilities.

It’ll be great for those new XXXL ATX mobos.
