How can I lower the latency of my DDR5 RAM?

Hello everyone,

I'm a beginner at overclocking. For my CPU, I've been using PBO2 with a +200MHz boost and all cores negative 30. As for my RAM, I've enabled EXPO (6000-30-40-40-76).

Recently, I came across a video suggesting that making some adjustments to the RAM can improve 1% Low FPS, so I decided to follow Buildzoid's video and copy his settings.

However, my memory latency has consistently stayed around 62ns. I've checked several posts on Reddit and tried replicating other people's settings to bring my memory latency down below 60ns, but not only did I fail to achieve this, my memory latency actually increased.

This is my ZenTimings and AIDA64 Memory Benchmark.

I later tried increasing my RAM to 6200MT/s, setting FCLK to 2067MHz, and tREFI to 65535, while keeping the other settings based on Buildzoid's recommendations, but the memory latency only dropped to around 61ns. How can I lower it below 60ns? Or is my current memory latency of 62ns already acceptable? Is there a significant benefit in achieving 58ns?

Thank you very much for your help.

My setup is:

  • Motherboard: TUF B650M Plus WiFi
  • CPU: AMD R5 7500F
  • RAM: ADATA XPG Lancer DDR5 6000 32GB (16Gx2) (AX5U6000C3016G-DCLABK)
