Can someone cleverer than me tell me what I’ve done

Earlier today I posted about my voltage going higher since installing the beta microcode update.

After 6 hours of tinkering things seem to be pretty good again but I’ll be honest, I don’t really understand how. This is what I’ve done (through advice on here)

  • Intel Extreme Profile (253,532,400)
  • MCE : Disabled
  • LLC : Level 4
  • AC/DC LL: 0.66 / 0.90
  • Adaptive voltage : -0.070
  • Sync AC/DC Loadlines with VRM : Disabled

Before all of this (but after the beta update) my Vcore was regularly going over 1.5v with a 38k Cinebench score.

With the above applied my Vcore is maxing at 1.359v with a 37.8k Cinebench score.

I’ve also run OCCT and Geekbench with no errors.

Have I successfully undervolted my chip? …and could someone explain the technicalities of what I did!?

Set ac dc ll to 0.1 see what that does. Might have to increase adaptive voltage a bit but may see lower power draw.

Temps look great. Average Vcore looks very good. Looks like you barely lost any performance according to Cinebench.

I’d definitely want to check PL1 and PL2. I was a little dubious of “Unlimited” power draw a year ago.
