[COD] Do you have to do the side quests for Black Flag Mission
I just got the game at a sale and i saw on IGN that you have to do the side quests before you can play Operation Black Flag. Is this true or IGN is lying
As someone with 100 ish hours only in campaign (plus an entire run of the secret Specialist difficulty, here’s some stuff to know:
There are 31 missions total but most are side missions. The yellow diamonds are main missions, the orange ones are side missions. Every now and then the other characters will be all “there are some other targets or we can deal with our main one”
I’d say do every single given mission before each main mission, that way you can find all the armory unlocks and be able to scan weapons for the armory in between missions (basically just upgrades for gear like a better knife or something). Some of them are eh, but some are the most fun in the game (aside from main missions)
So, tldr is that the “side quests” are just optional missions that don’t count toward the main storyline (but if you do all of them before each one, the pacing is gonna feel weird, as the game’s story takes place over a day’s worth of time)
