in csgo later era 2018-23 we had paranoma UI, danger zone, FFA DM, 1 v 1 map version of most maps, Premier mode, 3 operation, Retake mode and all of these happened while valve also working on Source 2 CS2 simultaneously.
CS2 1st year is awfully slow compared to even Valve’s standard. What causing it ? Is that valve’s new game deadlock ?
The first year supposed to be all about core gameplay polish but there is no performance update, the netcode and lagcompensation are still awful and there is little to no content at all.
This is probably slowest year of CSGO-CS2 era since 2016-17. Even back then there was operation, new gun sounds, new dust 2, nuke and inferno updates

In the latest versions with CS:GO, I was able to play and record the footage on any competitive map with fps hovering around 120. Without recording it was 200.
In CS2 with no recording at all and low graphical settings, fps are hovering at only around 100, and I have regular drops to BELOW 30 whenever there are a lot of smokes or molotovs, or if my character is inside a smoke
Agreed, I don’t have a NASA PC, but I can play most of modern-ish games in 60fps on medium settings.
It’s pretty crazy I recently upgraded from an older i7 /1070 build to a 78003d / 7700xt and the game still isn’t smooth on higher res. Luckily for my old blind ass I play on 1024×768 where my frames are high and stable but with my setup I really shouldn’t have to worry about playing cs2. My gfx card isn’t top of the line but it’s still 400 bucks and came out the same month cs2 was released and my cpu should be more than enough. Also I have 64gb ddr5 at a decent gaming frequency but I don’t remember it off the top of my head. I literally couldn’t play eliges config without slowdowns.

Where are the valve bootlickers that say the game has 0 performance issue and the issues are just us making things up? Are these people going to suddenly change their perspective now that a pro player has publicly stated that this game need to have optimization fixes?
We shouldnt defend Valve on this hot mess of a game that we got. They deserve to get flamed over it because its the only way they will do something about it. They dont even communicate with the community on what they are planning to fix (aside from cheating because that is something I think they should always keep it as a secret) so we can be aware of what is their roadmap in terms of fixing the fundamental issues of the game.

My game doesn’t even run at 144 hz anymore after the latest Nvidia driver updates. All kinds of wonky ass workarounds until someone fixes it. It’s been about a week or two
