Just finished my first (sorta) build. Last PC I put together was in 03 and my friend really did it mostly for me. I’ve bought prebuilts ever since.
My last prebuilt had ryzen 9 7900x and a 3070ti, not quite 2 yrs old but I really wanted to go more on the GPU so I found this 4080 super on new egg and am pretty happy with it but then decided it needed more airflow so I got a new airflow case… and it spiraled out of control from there.
Ended up with
CPU: ryzen 9 7900x
GPU: ZOTAC 4080 Super Trinity OC
MoBo: ASUS X670p WiFi
SSD: 1tb Wd black, 1tb Samsung 980pro
AIO: cooler master Masterliquid 360 atoms (swapped sickledge fans with mobius 120ps because better static pressure)
Case: nzxt h6 flow
PSU: Lian Li edge 1000w
Added another set of möbius on side vent and 2 140mm silverstone vista argbs on the bottom blasting air up into the gpu, finally took one of the sickle edge fans that was on the aio and slapped it on the back as an additional exhaust.
Right now it’s a night and day difference from my earlier setup, even under 100% load gpu temp tops out around 59-61C, idles at 28-29; only thing is the cpu temp still gets up to 79-80 under full load, i know this is still pretty good and I’ve heard the 7900s run hot, but wondered if I might get that down even further by removing the back exhaust. I feel like it might be robbing cold air from the aio.
Thoughts?

We have recently added the useful feature of Title Flair! You can set this manually by clicking Flair under your post once you have submitted your post, but if you missed it in the rules there is a much better way that will automatically flair your post!
To do this simply add what your post is about in brackets before your title.
