Took a gamble with Amazon Warehouse when buying a new monitor…

And it actually worked out! Did some homework on these Amazon Warehouse repurposed/repackaged, super low priced monitors. I found most people said that when they received their monitor, it came in a box like the one pictured above, but that it was unscathed physically and worked like it was new out of the box. No dead pixels, no burn in, etc.

Getting it for $250 versus $600 (LG UltraGear QHD 34-Inch Curved Gaming Monitor 34GP83A-B, Nano IPS 1ms (GtG) with VESA DisplayHDR 400, NVIDIA G-SYNC), why not take the chance? I figured if I get the bad batch, I’ll just return it, no biggy. I guess luck was on my side because it came in the box pictured, partially even sticking out of the top (you can see it wanting to bust through the seam). But when I unpacked it, there are zero physical damages, and when I plugged it in for testing, it works perfectly.

Needless to say, I’m super happy with it. I just figured I’d share the success, just in case anyone else was ever curious about these warehouse deals.

  1. Nice find, but lucky it survived the shipping packed like that.

  2. Most likely this is a demo monitor that worked for hours on the stand

This is why I find it useful to video the unboxing of anything expensive from Amazon or anywhere really.

Box looks like it was stolen like 3 times.
