Damn, 8th highest selling game ever made. You wouldn’t really think it like that, but I guess the game is really fun.
Funny enough, I put like 40hrs into that game before 1.01. So I literally have never experienced any of the content they added after launch. Not even the bunnies.

I always thought the game would be a solid on the PC, but I only have xbox and the controls were pretty bad so I never stuck with it unfortunately.

I’ve been supporting this game since I got it back in 2013, bought it on 360 and on the phone when it came out on that. I’d never trade it for the world, shit has made a lot of memories for something I haven’t even spent a total of 1k hours on or even beat since 1.4 came out.

Have the controls for console improved at all? I tried it on Xbox years ago after I initially played it on PC (which I loved). But the controls for building and aiming the pick were really bad on a controller. I don’t play PC games anymore.

I have the terraria wiki bookmarked for whenever play. Well over 1k hours and many play through and I’m finding new stuff everytime. Love the game. Currently waiting on the update (yes this game still gets them) to play again.

That’s what happens when you make games for the fans. Game is cheap. Every expansion/dlc/patch has been completely free. Each expansion has also basically doubled the size of the game each time. Can’t wait for Terraria 2 especially after seeing their concept art for biomes.

This is cool and all, but SMB is the same game it was from the 80s. Terraria is magnitudes larger and better than it was at launch.
IMO it’s not a fair comparison but I’m happy for their success of course.

Amazing game and amazing dev who keeps adding free “final content updates” all the time. No paid dlc/expansion bullshit, game is cheap for how many hours you get out of it. Yup, deserved.
