I know Ascension is a very easy map, but I’m working my way up. I’ve been to the late 30s and even into the mid 40s on several maps but never to 50 until today! (I played on black ops 1 to make it as hard as possible in comparison to black ops 3) what map should I try next?

Nice dude! Personally if you want something really challenging I’d do shangri la and for one in the middle maybe either mob or origins?
