If someone is so in to a game to subscribe for packs or other nonsense then let them pay to keep the servers running for boys like me who work full time and enjoy a wee hour or 2 in the evening
As soon as better weapons are behind paywalls then the game dies for me.
Cod4 remaster added some paywall guns that are a bit more powerful and it ruined the experience cause you’re just playing against them all the time

Ah, the “bonus” banner in red to make it seems like such a great deal! A bunch of voice lines and common skins you’ll never use which is what 99% of these battle passes are now a days. Useless emotes, sprays, and weapon skins that sit in your inventory for eternity.

The system I remember was you pay your gold coins every season to ‘unlock’ the premium track of 110 levels, and as you played and completed challenges for xp (and later, stars) you’d level up and unlock the cosmetics with each level. You could also pay to skip levels and/or for packs of random cosmetics and/or the limited event stuff.
This totally looks like they’ve finished all their investment into it, and are going to extract as much money as they can from the existing die hards before announcing an end to development for their next project. Is this new system replacing that, or just adding another choice?
In this new system, is it just chopping the season in half (though that would actually be 55 levels not 60)? It SEEMS like it wouldn’t impact those that play every season, get the gold coins, and use them for the next season. Unless that 60 level thing or a price increase creates a new scenario where you now don’t get enough coins from a season to pay for next season. It’s really weird that the ‘old’ version shows 950 coins, but the ‘new’ one shows 9.99. Does that mean that gold coins no longer buy the seasons and you have to use cash?

Disgusting and no remorse for consumers, maybe if the rot brain devs used all that heirloom money over the past few years to invest in an anti cheat or at the very least not wait till the game dies to add 120fps for consoles the player base might not be so low.
