  1. Teknonecromancer

Go to “Settings” and change difficulty to “Very Hard”.

Don’t try to skip straight to Phantom Liberty unless you’re a masochist. The whole opening mission is no joke.

  3. tantaluszxc

Go stealth as much as you can, you can’t go Rambo often and not before level 30 at least

  4. Imaginary-Hour-6082

Its really not hard at all, do gigs and side stuff, don’t sit on attribute points. There will be 1-2 tough fights but, to me it was surprisingly easy. Granted i did a netrunner/ cool build

Try to get air dash as quickly as possible if you are doing anything that’s not netrunning, you need to be moving constantly coz one bullet does a whole lotta damage. If you are going for a netrunner build, focus on intelligence, tech and cool (if doing a sniper/pistol build alongside netrunning).

Ncpd stashes are a good way of getting money and getting exp early on.

The game is harder in the beginning, but as soon as you get all your cyberware it becomes easy to finish.

You can lean around corners to shoot. Also some tech tree upgrades + a quick charging sandevistan make you immune to damage, very useful in smasher’s open arena when the goons show up.

The hard mode is the only way bc it’s actually fun and hard, I have never played normal mode

  8. faux_shore

Kill fast and don’t get seen, range is your friend especially if you’re not going to quick hack. Scope out any potential missions for exits and hazards before engaging

Don’t just go Very Hard, go Very Hard permadeath style and become a true legend! 😀

Find a build you feel comfortable with, search guids on how to mimmax it and it’s attributes and stick to it, there’s not much room for experimenting when you’re running for your life all the time

Stealth is OP and very fun, it can also be a huge pain if you really want to stealth a mission but keep getting spotted randomly

Don’t think about it too much, just have fun

Also pure netrunners with an infinite overclock – synapse burnout loop are OP and make very hard max tac feel like push overs, just a note

Honestly made it more fun for me. as for tips , depends on your play style , I’m a gun and blade V, so I would recommend really learning to slide , jump , take cover. Seems simple but really took me to the next level. Any perks that makes you faster, time slower , multi task (while sliding for exemple) are good. Might not be “meta” but damn is it fun.

Some play stealth, others go full net runner. Honestly, the best tip that I can give you is to heavily specialize in a build for your V, you can still be a jack of all trade but it’s harder and less fun imo.

  12. It’s only hard in the very very beginning, use cover and try to kill one or two people with stealth before you start a big fire fight.

Game becomes very easy once you have a good amount of cyberware even on very hard. I usually play story missions to get some attribute points and avoid organized crime activities until I have a solid build going.

That being said, it’s pretty easy overall, phantom liberty opening is pretty challenging if you’re lower level but not impossible.

I did blade/smg reflex build and once you have decent stamina regen, you can just deflect people to death, I used blocking to kill most people, then switch to smg to finish off stragglers. Dash to cover when your health item is down, I also used optical camo to stealth kill skull enemies before engaging.

  13. The game lets you get pretty OP pretty quick, you’ll really only struggle the first couple hours when you’re still on scale but once you even get one half decent weapon you’re fine.

Phantom Liberty on the other hand is extremely difficult even if you’ve got good weapons. Definitely save it for when you’re further down the story the first mission alone took me well over 2 hours.

  14. Turn off all the HUD if you want Expert Mode 🙂

  15. Don’t pick any stats on the character creation screen, go ahead and start the game then dump all the initial points in body for the extra hit-points at the start.
