Counter-Strike 2

Insanely Long Queue

I haven't played CS in a hot minute (since it was still GO). I decided to get back into it, got tired of casual and tried queueing for prime comp. I didn't really have any issues on my first two matches but ever since I can be waiting anywhere from 10, 20 or even 30 minutes without a game.

I used to queue relatively quickly on GO, which is what makes this kinda odd. Ping is not an issue since my threshold is at 150 and Geforce Now has relatively low latency to Valve servers. Are CS2 queues usually this long or what could be the problem?

Lump a buncha 5v5 maps together, then have a quick vote-ban fer shorter queues.

OR leave it and blame the end-user.

Whatever is ~~easier~~ lazier fer the devs

Premier and low rank, checks out, 42 minutes is more patient than I am, I gave up when it hit 30 minutes and just played a different game altogether

Rn premier at low rank is impossible, you either got a near infinite queue without finding anything regardless is ping limit or you connect in the first minute just to be queued against 4 Smurfs and someone who won’t make a single kill while your own team isn’t that same quality and you lose without ever having had a chance at winning the match

Pick your poison, 1 hour queue time with a slim chance of a‘ match happening or 1 minute queue and you won’t even win a single round because the Smurfs are online

Might have something to do with you using GeForce Now and not through the steam client?! It’s the only thing you mentioned that seems out of the ordinary and from a quick google search it appears to be a common problem from days gone by

Using GeForce now will not help you evade red trust from cheating on your alt.
