It is getting closer to being a full year since the Counter Strike 2 release. Sure, many things have changed and gotten better in CS2, but will it ever beat what CSGO was?

You don't remember the csgo release bro, for a few years the game was broken, cs2 is in a much better state and has way more potential to be way better than csgo.
Csgo was a failure at first, but then Valve started to polish it as much as they could, but in reality was way worse than cs2's release.
I don't think you're taking in account what state CSGO was when it first released. It had as many or even more bugs than CS2, the game had less game modes and was less polished. Give CS2 a couple years before you can fully compare it to CSGO
Of course, Valve had more than enough resources to make CS2 a success from the start, however, they launched it far too early. They will fix issues slowly but surely over the next few years. I hated the first 2 years of CS:GO and I kept playing CS 1.6. CS:GO was literal garbage for the first few years. The same goes for cs2, the game is garbage atm. However, it's much better than what CS:GO used to be. The important thing is that VALVE are still rolling updates out and fixing issues little by little we will get to a better game. Instead of whining buy stickers and skins now because in 5-6 years investments now can make you a millionaire 🙂
i miss csgo, cs2 can barley run 165fps and i have a pretty good pc. it just isnt fun anymore
From the moment i launched the cs2 beta i felt sick, the art style of the intro, the sounds of the cs2 music kit,.. so bad
the updates in cs2 are just slowly porting in stuff we already had in csgo :/

I think CS2 is still getting better. CS had to be ported to Source 2 so that we could have more opportunities that were limited by the engine from the 2000s

will never beat is pretty bold title but i guess it makes sense but csgo as perfect as it is is still limited to source 1 engine from the 2000s a lot of headache to update im gonna trust on CS2 but yeah the cheating problem if your high elo has been a problem way back cs 1.6 upwards anyways
If you live with the assumption it will never be as good, then it never will be. I still enjoy the game, no its not as polished as GO, but I have faith that it may be one day. Just gotta stay hopeful 🙂
yeah economy was so prefectly balanced that they had to change it few times xpp stop the cope about cs:go plz it was way worse on the launch and first 2 years than cs2 is now
I took a break from CS a few months before CS2 came out and am just now getting back in to it. So far it has been very positive with my only real complaints being that Valve stole my bicycle and put a hole in my wall.
I didn't experience the launch which everyone seems to agree was rough but at this point it is very similar to GO just missing some content. Plus I don't get why people hate on the sub-tick or whatever the fuck they call it, the game feels way smoother then even Faceit servers ever did. Though maybe my never being able to get less than 60 ping affects this.

Okay, I WILL watch the whole video but I just got so annoyed by this, it's insane; 2:15 in what world do you think that "it should not be a problem" when every single large company is trying to get more money and not pump more into something that will not bring profit? Do you seriously think 128 tick servers would make more people play the game? Valve is not known for doing charity for the community and will not make decisions just because some people are delusional. This has to be the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
As much as cs2 is not in the best spot right now and there are issues with it, you neglect to mention how many game breaking bugs, broken systems, and complaints there were with csgo. When people compare the two games, they are blinded by the fact that there is so much history with csgo that cs2 physically cannot live up to yet as its only been out for a year. Csgo was never perfect and neither will cs2, there are always going to be issues and people will complain no matter how good a game is.

cs2 was really fun when it first came out because new counter strike and what not, but then you had getting shot behind walls and right now you have a huge rubber-banding issue which is NOT fucking fun. But I believe the game will eventually get back to the level of CSGO because of cope, I also agree with you that CSGO is peak (especially as of right now) but thats because I grew up with it so it holds a special in my heart!!
I don't want them to change the economy, the brutal economy is part of what makes CS good and it is balanced with the quality of the pistols and SMGs.
A better anti-cheat would go a long way
My biggest gripe is the current map pool, Anubis is just a bad map, Mirage has been in the pool too long, and the Vertigo changes haven't fixed the map. Overpass needs to come back soon, and we all want Cache, Cobble and Train to be brought to CS2 even if they're not all in the active map pool.
