From what I’ve seen, it seems like Shadow of the Erdtree took many of the major problems from the base game and made them even worse. It’s unfortunate to see, but not terribly surprising. I’ll probably give it a try when it goes on sale in a year or whatever, there’s no need to waste money on it now when there are more interesting things to spend my time with.

I want to know why perfomance still hasn’t been solved. It was revealed to be a fairly easy fix by a third party some time ago, but still nothing.

The performance concerns are valid. The other stuff … skill issue.

Not surprised. After playing it myself, it’s very Dark Souls – not Elden Ring. Brutally difficult to the point of not being a ton of fun, with few opportunities to strengthen your character to overcome challenges without throwing yourself at it 400 times and just memorizing everything. The fact they patched Elden Beast to allow Torrent gives me hope that they’ll tone down the difficulty.

Japanese developers when it comes to optimization = 😾

PlayStation Store won’t even let me purchase the DLC. It keeps giving me the error message

What kind of performance issues are you all having? I have a GTX 1660 Super, I5-9400F and 16 GB RAM. Nothing really changed for me except that I had to lower my settings to High to maintain stable 60 FPS in the first DLC area

It’s cause there’s no new achievements (this is a joke but I do wish they added more)

Watched a review of the DLC and the “all the power you have gathered in the base game is moot, go collect other source of power” does not sound fun.

I wanted to grind runes in my free time to have it a bit easier in the DLC.

  10. 95% of their issues is being bad at the game and not using mechanics. 5%? I had some frame drops here and there at one boss, other than that it works great.

I cant play online since the DLC came out. I dont even have the DLC and every time I launch the game it says inappropriate activity detected:/

People complaining about it being a balancing issue have never played FS DLC.

Skills are irrelevant if you’re not appropriately levelled.

People that are going in under levelled to end game content and complaining they can’t beat bosses is not a balancing issue.

Sufficiently levelled players are one/two shoting most enemies and while finding bosses are difficult, this is perfectly in line with all FS DLCs which have always contained some of the hardest bosses compared to base game (e.g. Ludwig, Orphanof Kos, Gael, Sister Friede)

How an expansion can be more difficult than the base game! How dare they!

Funny how some games get a blind eye when it comes to performance when it comes to reviews..

People cry because the dlc is actually hard, you can’t cheese it by having 50000000hp
