A newbie question on RAM voltage – is this insufficient?

  1. Hi all, put together a new build this weekend, and for RAM I have [2×32 GB corsair vengance sticks] (https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/memory/cmh64gx5m2b6400c32/vengeance-rgb-64gb-2x32gb-ddr5-dram-6400mts-c32-memory-kit-black-cmh64gx5m2b6400c32#tab-techspecs).

I have been having occasional blue screens reporting with various stopcodes that have left me pretty confused. One of the errors claimed it detected single bit memory corruption, so I definitely plan on downloading memtest and running diagnostics on my fancy new sticks.

However when I look at the manufacturer specs (found in the link), they say ‘SPD voltage 1.1V’. When I look in HWMonitor it seems like maybe I am dipping under that for some of these reading points.

Can someone explain to me what these various things are, which if any you would recommend bumping up in the BIOS? Is my theory that this could be voltage-related even feasible or just total nonsense? Also what is the practical cost to raising these 1.1 values to like 1.25v?

    thanks!

  2. 1.1V so you’re most likely running JEDEC, the dips you see are just misreporting from the PMIC, it’s much more stable physically

You didn’t provide nearly enough info for anyone to actually help you or answer any of your questions. If your system is bluescreening when you don’t even have xmp enabled, your system is unstable.

Either your cpu is unstable or I’m guessing you didn’t install the memory sticks correctly. Turn off your system, unplug the power and reinstall your memory into slots a2/b2. Make sure they’re firmly seated, then run memory stability tests @ default settings.
