So the other night I decided to replay the MW 2019 campaign (on PS5), but after re-downloading the game it still wouldn't let me into it. The main menu was trying to get me to "purchase" it even though I already did years ago. I did some digging on this subreddit and elsewhere online and it seems like this is a very common issue. Obviously there's a lot of packs that you have to download with it but even after seemingly installing everything that could possibly be installed, I still had the same problem.
So then I noticed that when I go to "manage game content" in the playstation home screen, it takes me to all the add-ons. And for some reason no matter what I do it refuses to accept that I've downloaded the Campaign pack. I'll press the install button, it gets sent to my downloads, takes about five minutes, and then it says it's installed. But then I boot up the game and it's the same problem. I go back to the manage game content screen and now it says the Campaign pack is not installed, even though it just said 30 seconds ago that I had installed it. Same issue with the compatability pack.
So I seem to know what the issue is now, but still have no clue how to fix it. Does anyone know what I should do? I've tried multiple uninstalls/reinstalls, restoring licenses, and things like that. I just think it's insane that I’m physically unable to access a game that I already paid for.
