I wanted to try this game again because I quite enjoyed the Zombies mode, but no matter what I try, it’ll crash between wave 1 and 10. I know I’m not alone, but I’m hoping for some niche fix I may have not tried, but worked for some. (I have the same error message as everyone else and I’m using battle.net)
My specs:
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6800
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X3D
Motherboard: B450 Tomahawk Max
RAM: 32GB 3200MHz
Storage: 4TB HDD
I’ve tried a whole list of possible crash fixes, but none fixed my issue:
– Updated my drivers to the latest version
– Scanned and repaired my files in battle.net
– Deleted and reinstalled both battle.net and Black Ops Cold War
– Disabled Windows Game Mode
– Windowed fullscreen mode
– Disabled Raytracing
– Ran on DirectX 11 (With the -d3d11 command line)
– Unplugged my AUX cables, restarted my pc, launched the game and plugged back
– And finally I tried this
Am I cursed? Doomed? Is there any hope for me to finally complete the Easter Eggs I haven’t done? Should I just try to forget the game exists? Should I sell my organs for a RTX 4090?
