I've encountered blatant spinners and xp farming bots in NA Silver MM this week. I'm done. CS2 is an absolute joke.

The punishment for cheating needs to be stiff. So stiff it’s not worth it to cheat. Banned from steam, inventory banned, hardware banned, IP banned, the whole 9 yards. If giving your ID to valve slows down cheating significantly I’ll give them that too. We already give valve all our info anyways.
If they launch new content with no AC they will kill the game for me….

It's not easy to stop cheaters. There have been in every FPS game for the last 2 decades. The concept is simple, you either play for fun and bump into someone hacking from time to time, or you are almost a pro who plays with notable players. You all just need to chill out a bit because 99% of us ain't never gonna make any money from this game anyways. Just play it casually that s how it meant to be.
HWID banning would fix everything, especially since cheats are on a HWID basis when you purchase a sub or the likes, of course they could still spoof and reset hwid every single time the want to inject but something tells me these cheat providers would not want to deal with that, wouldnt trust an auto "hwid reset" button, and would most likely find a way around, but if you really wanted to put a dent in their armor this would be the best start, it would absolutely shake the world of counter strike cheating.

I'm pretty sure VAC is fully working. The problem is that detecting a cheat software running on your PC is almost impossible. The AI anticheat is probably turned off because of the large amount of false positives. Most of the cheaters are using aimassist only, neither you or the AI can tell the difference between a good aimer or somebody with aimassist. Only the minority of cheaters use WH or spinbot. 50-65% are cheating you just won't notice it.

Ban is not solution. U need to separate cheaters and normal players. So cheaters will go against other cheaters leaving normal players. This will take some time. This game has bright future.
I know there will always be cheating in CS. I just want to go a few weeks without seeing a cheater not 2 matches.

I heard that Kernal Level anti cheats can be dangerous because it's always on. But when it came to FACEIT, I hadn't ran into any problems, it's only active when you're actually playing a FACEIT match and then after it ends, it's off until you queue for a new match.
