I live in Tokyo, have never heard of this.It would be on the news all day every day for sure, this country is so peaceful that a drunk assault makes national news. Drug trafficking by drones would be massive!
Flying drones is strictly prohibited in Tokyo, a flying drone would get immediate attention.
Transporting drugs in a way that doesn’t draw attention seems a much safer way.
Also Japanese cops don’t really need to fight crime, they usually ride their bicycles around the neighborhood, stand on an intersection and watch the traffic for a while and then go back to give people directions or look up an address for you.
