Counter-Strike 2

The DESERVED Downfall of Counter-Strike

At one point CSGO was the biggest game in the world but how did CS2 become so unpopular as it is today? Well in this video I explain the story behind Counter Strike 2 and how it became so popular in the first place seeing ohnepixel raw and Sparkles as well as zipelCS alongside it. Even though I couldn’t cover everyone, HaiX or Goldec and newcomers like DuwapCS are still playing a significant role in CS to this day, I tried appreciating the highs and the lows of cs update and career progression, evaluating and considering how things came to be over the years and how case opening played a significant part in it.

Special thanks to Kalex and ArrowCS, his video really helped me out when beginning research of this video. Apologies in advance if I made any mistakes in my research. This video took me maybe 2 months to make. Some music is from LEMMiNO and ivory.

  1. My ingame name is Gojo, the ursus knife is by far my favorite and I would be super happy to even be considered for the giveaway! You have great potential to be a big cs or docuseries youtuber.

  2. Valve removing their anti cheat will lose a lot of their money. Most cheaters in this game for sure got the most inventory and expensive stuff. Banning them will surr affect the whole economy. 😂

  3. my opinion cs2 rly needs new maps cuz everyone used to play back in 2020 when all the new maps were getting added now they havent done that forever thats why the game feels boring rn

  4. Thanks to the cs2 release i was able to quit because they ruined the gamemodes I enjoy😃

  5. I don't think the data is conclusive that there is a "downfall". It seems to be returning to 2022 numbers (which are still very good, btw) now that the hype around CS2 is over. I wouldn't call that a downfall, this is a really common phenomenon with game launches. I predict that it will remain pretty stable from there.

  6. They could just federalize the servers into pools where people can only get in a certain pools by gaining the trust of moderators or owners of said pools.

  7. The real story here isn't about counter-strike but how this incredibly excessive greed culture has infiltrated Valve, a place once considered to follow a quality driven rubric to solve their problems. While the game is getting better, it is sad to see valve participate in this sort of culture. I have faith that the game will be great, but I will never look at valve the same way ever again. Valve can act as grandiose as they want, at the end of the day, they didn't make counter strike – we all did. Nearly ever aspect of the game is an idea that was taken from the community with zero compensation aside from things you can't get away with stealing like maps and skins. These days I really don't see a difference between Valve and workshop trolls like cybershoke.

  8. The fact that valve made a game-changing amazing update a week after this came out is super unlucky, but this is a good archive of the first 6 months of CS lol.

  9. The really sad thing is that so many people get addicted to gambling in this game and loose their money for nothing. And so many creators are ok with that and take money from gambling sites to promote them. I think only 3kliksphillip remains untainted by the gambling corruption.
