  1. welp, i'm not selling my skins on steam anymore, they be scamming us with this outrageous tranfaction fee anways

  2. Steam Community Market's big draw was that as a 1st party mechanism, it is theoretically the lowest-risk method of transaction. That's what the ridiculous 20% tax is is paying for.

But if this is how SCM and Steam Support treats users, the main advantage is moot. There is literally no reason to use SCM anymore, beyond quick-selling basic skins at market price. This could significantly affect SCM's market traffic. Absolutely ridiculous move, especially since they haven't done anything to restore their reputation since this incident came to light.

  3. Jo Mr Anomaly, i hope this message finds you well. What's the best way to get my steam wallet money out of steam, asking for my mother <3

  4. Bruh…
Have you guys read the second line of the answer?
"Avoid all offers of Steam Wallet funds through the Steam Market or you may inadvertently become involved in payment fraud."
How would one even know that someone is buying an item with stolen funds?

  5. så här är det ju i sverige också. om man säljer en bil eller något och bersonen köper den med stulna pengar så kommer du åka dit för böter om inte värre..

  6. In April last year my account was hijacked using my e-mail adress, which I noticed around day later, when I couldn't log in. I realised that my account with skins worth around 1500$ is in someone else's hands, so that was fun. Oh and yes, I did have Steam Guard active x)
I wrote a message to Support, stating the context and other information (e.g. last used credit card, Steam Guard phone number etc.). Around 30 hours later, response is essentially "LOL you're not the OG owner, piss off", because I wrote it using my other e-mail (the original was probably still in this wanker's hold, because I couldn't see any e-mails coming from Steam).
I replied that I'm kinda pissed off, because I wrote every information about this account that no hacker/impostor could ever know, I had the same phone number since the beginning, I used only one credit card etc. I was getting kinda worried, because the 14-day-lock of the skins was getting closer, but they finally realised their f-up after few days and gave it back.
    So 10/10 would recommend.

  7. i have been playing counter strike since source. And honestly it hurts me to say this, but I officially sold my 500-1k in skins and downloaded valorant. dont know if im a piece of shit but i just cant hope valve will become a productive company anymore. Would rather play cartoon game that has functional anticheat

  8. I mean I wish we could boycott the market or something but theres no way enough people would do it to make an impact and plus everybody who might potentially do it is probably already using 3rd party sites lol

  9. "Because we have provided all the information we have for your issue I'm closing this help request" is the long way of saying "ion give a single fuck. u ain seeing your 50 again"

  10. i think that valve being able to ban a player because they listed a skin for "inflated price" is stupid anyway, they dont dictate the prices of skins, we do, all they do is set a price for the keys to open cases

  11. Yeah steam support is ass but people aren’t noticing that that the post literally says his awp was restored

  12. SCM is a nightmare anyways shit constantly lags and gives 404 pages and its genuinly a roll of the dice if you can even look at page 2 and onwards if you're looking for some low float stuff or something

  13. That shit happened to me with a redline a year ago. Stopped using steam market since.

  14. I am starting to believe companies such as Valve, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc, are testing some kind of AI. A lot of YouTubers are getting demonetized because the system is mistaking them for AI channels stealing content, and the appeal process is also AI-based, which means they get an AI email response that just copy+pastes the original guilty verdict. We can't even get a human response now when a corporation screws us :'(
