  1. If they "ban" skins. Wtf does that even mean? Am I not allowed to have skins? Or will I not be able to? What happens to my already existing inventory?… God I hope it doesn't come to this.

  2. Valve should make age verification for buying keys… that's it.. wouldn't all the problems go away with that…? well… then the crying would begin that Valve asks for documents or any sort of identification… but then again it would be only for buying keys.. something has to change or all governments one by one gonna block all this.. it's not good for valve.. it's not good for people… no winners except once again… fking governments..

edit.. now thinking about it if Valve asks for documents isn't it becoming like a casino.. idk man.. I hope they find a way.. I'm just all for governments to fk off

  3. CSGO is the reason why I got gambling addicted at a very young age (I had multiple thousands of dollars with the age of 15 in CSGODouble and lost it all in the end)
I think it's good that this gets regulated. The addiction continued trough my 20s and caused a lot of problems down the line. That's why I don't play CS anymore, I don't support this behaviour. Valve knows exactly that underage kids can gamble and don't they care

  4. Because all players are seen as mentally ill addicts there will be less opportunities for the rest.
Valve will just pay less taxes and the addicts will just find another gambling outlet.
Why can't governments just use tax money to produce anti CS propaganda?

  5. I hope every country bans cases and this stupid game dies… they should make anti cheat instead of stupid skins millions gone to them but no anti cheat

  6. This is great news!

Maybe Valve might actually improve its anti cheat now and not cases and stickers 😅

  7. They haven't thought about it all the years, but now Valve's money from cs keeps peaking suddenly they see the risk for "young people"?

Kids aren't the reason Valve makes millions, they're not only the smallest group of gamblers but also most of them only have their pocket money to spend on cs.

Gettings random sh*t for your money was never a problem with rubber balls, candy, pokeballs with random figures, pokemon cards, yu-gi-oh, magic. Old cards sell for tons too but nobody calls that a problem & all kids can buy them anywhere anytime. Banning digital cases doesn't prevent future adult gamblers, that's bs.

They're intentionally banning case unboxings for everyone, but leave any other type of rewarding or addictive activity, so that once your balls drop you still tend to play eurojackpot or similar bs (,:

F*ck them. Valve will find a solution.

  8. Actually the goverment hates cases because they can't enforce a tax on items sold and boughr this is the real reason they don't care about addictions.

  9. If they ban skins they have to ban all trading card games like yugioh and pokemon because cards you get are random and if you lucky you can profit a lot of that plus most casinos should be bsnned to not only for gambling but bannin players for using fair tactics counting cards are legal in your head

  10. hashtag wake up counter strike
bad anti cheat = more people quitting any online pvp games all together
less people playing = skin being less valuable because there's no new player joining in and buying/trading

  11. Gambling is when you have a chance to make a profit, and in cs its like 90% a loss. You have literally bigger chance just to eat your money ant hope to shit it twice amount. Counter strike is just a legal money loundry for Valve.

  12. banning gambling in GAMES but not banning gambling in REAL LIFE CASINOS is so fucking stupid

  13. probably in lithuania they will never do that, becouse we have adds everywhere about casinos and other shit 😂😂😂 corupted country

  14. I'd agree with some sort of new law regarding young people but they shouldn't outright ban in game gambling for people of legal age (18+)

  15. EU seems to be cracking down on loot boxes far more than any other region and if I were valve, I'd be very worried considering most of the CS playerbase is in EU.

Hopefully this long silence regarding content from valve is because they are looking for a way to get rid of loot boxes from CS while still preserving the existing market.

Most games have already moved on from loot boxes and began charging flat rates for cosmetics. Hopefully valve follows suit.
