  1. I get Armoury may be a bit bloated, but in my experience it’s actually the most reliable and useful motherboard software out there. And it gives you driver updates. Gigabyte and MSI had horrible utilities that never worked right.

I use signalrgb and ai suite 3 instead. So much better!

Armory Crate is straight up garbage. You can use Asus hardware without needing it installed. There are other options.

I haven’t used Armoury Crate since I was based on my Asus laptop back in lockdown-time (never had any issues with it, myself, but I’ve heard the stories…)

What do the ‘festive effects’ do?

This program is such a joke… I bought an Asus RGB Controller about one year before this shit was released, and they just never bothered to support an RGB enthusiast product in their new RGB software (AFAIK). Been using Open RGB ever since, doesn’t always work but that’s better than never…

That’s why the Steam Deck will forever be superior to the Ally

This is straight up not true, you can omit that update all together. That’s what I did, just do the update, but don’t do the festive updates(there are 3 updates 2 are festive and only 1 is needed)

Desktop users, is there an easier way to uninstall it as the ASUS Armory Crate Uninstaller via their site has been hit/miss.. maybe there is a bios option I am missing.

I don’t understand. I have had Armoury Crate installed for 3 years (using an X570E Gaming mobo) and have never been prompted to install anything, never interrupted. It’s been the most painless and background software. What are people doing differently to have these experiences?

  10. had it installed. noticed my game performance dropped significantly. found a thread with the same problem and uninstalled it. performance shot up like morning wood.
    never looked back.
