I'll like to add too, for the 10 years the service metals have almost bin out. I hope They come out with a combined service Metal for all the ten years or so you've been grinding. And I would to play with Certain service metals people, so I know they're not hacking ish…..
. I worked hard to 10 years, I want a ten year combined metal for all the years I have not missed. Every year I played, never missed a year. I want a Diamond ten year service metal, or something very cool.
I think they should reset the medal to the first level, or even completely remove it, as well as a temporary game ban for the first offense, and a permanent ban for the second offense if it is disruptive to the game.
I have roughly 8k hours in cs (2013-now) and have had 0 idea that anyone even cared, payed attention to, or considered anything related to service medals. This is a weird thing to randomly throw bans out for imo. I hope that this is part of something more constructive and not just randomly banning a bunch of people that probably had 0 fkn clue this mattered to anyone.
If they want to ban people from the game, that's fine, but its not.
You can't strip people of thousands and thousands of dollars when they didn't technically ruin someone else's game with actual hacks.
I wonder how many of these accounts were purchased for red service medals and they didn't ruin people's experiences themselves and then gradual built their own inventory.
There is only a couple options that make remotely any sense in this case.
1.) Remove the service medal
2.) And this is still quite extreme… keep the ban, but allow the skins to still be tradeable.
No one deserves to lose their inventory over something as meaningless as a fucking medal.
While the medals don't really matter in the grand scheme of things to the game.. they are just metals, still fuck around and find out. Just the same as using cheat engine to have 100% achievement complition on games… while not financially beneficial or destructive in that sense… it is cheating and i am just watching from the sideline is funny.

Ive seen bots on dm, it was people but it was behaving like a bot with aim assist.
Is there even any benefit to getting the red service medal or is it just to show you have a big E-peen?
