There are very few things in the Counter-Strike community that are as loved – and hated – as Mirage. Over the course of ten years Mirage became CS:GO’s most played, most frustrating map.
The layout was great but, thanks to the sea of one-ways that plagued it, Mirage became a cheesy, puggy hellscape. Mirage should’ve been a masterpiece but, as Global Offensive’s busted-ass utility got increasingly exploited, it devolved into something else entirely.
The thing is, CS2 fixed all of that . . . sort of. There’s still a lot to learn – and a few things to exploit – but Mirage is so much closer to being the perfect map it was always supposed to be, and we’re going to show you how to play it to perfection.

U really did Ohne dirty with that window clip
map smokes in general are dumb. Original game was never designed around that, you can't even through stuff over certain areas until they starting leaving parts of the skybox open, which they should've never add in the first place.
Like yeah, I wanna watch a bunch of youtube videos on where to stare at a wall and then look up and match perfectly with some little dot just to be able to place a smoke properly on a map. That crap is so dumb and the Esports aspect of CS ruined it by making it a core gameplay thing.
I'd say objectively it indeed is the best map CS ever had for 5v5 bomb mode. It's all around almost perfect, which is the reason why it's so popular
I also hate it nowadays though. I played thousands of games on there and Valve never even bothered to update it properly
I accidently found a lineup for that smoke because when i tried learning con smoke it landed there

Needing to learn this stupid ass smoke line ups just to be able to play the game is dumb.
where as in valorant, if you want a smoke, just fucking put it EXACTLY where you want it without all this weird jump bind pixel line up trigonometry bullshit.
its like people in cs play the maps instead of playing the game. Just constantly on the look out for every little exploit they can find instead of playing fair.
every awp play shown was better than the coldzera play he hits a lucky jump shot getting the double kill. Its a shit stupid play takes absolutely no skill a silver could hit that play but everyone hypes it for no reason realistically he should have got one tapped jumping for the peek
I dont like that stairs smoke because it has to be thrown from the same position as jungle because one of those smokes its guaranteed to come later than the other two and it would just throw your team off after they hear smokes pop start pushing but stairs still isnt popped they get peeked and die
14:20 I've seen that connector smoke before, and I've used it, it was great, but the last time I played, it seems they nerfed it. All smokes will kind of cascade/waterfall downwards towards the ground until they hit solid ground. So that smoke now just really thoroughly covers connector window. Unless I'm just seeing a glitch, but that's what it's doing on me. Same with window smoke, if you get it close to the window and not back and centered in window, it will kind of pour out the front and you get smoke sorry if waterfall-ing down below window kind of smoking that window jump too.
i would be fine with marage being removed and updated if all the other maps in active duty were not absolute garbage. Vertigo, ancient, anubis and nuke are all straight trash and need to be removed they all have so many issues its a joke

There's a better CT Ticket Booth smoke that's almost identical to what he shows here, but you line up on that little corner that is chamfered, it's the corner just across the path from the spot he shows, then you aim it at the pole sticking off the building and go up a tiny bit (just practice it, it's really easy, like roughly half the height of your stock crosshair) then jump throw. It will smoke ticket booth with a smoke that lands just barely on the edge of the box there at Booth. It makes it so it blocks the high angle too so a CT can't get squirrelly and try to jump on top of the box and peek over your smoke. It COMPLETELY shuts down CT for A site
Edit: 7:50 nevermind! He showed the smoke I'm talking about. I should shut up until the video plays completely lol😅 BUT! if you stand at the same lineup for that ticket booth smoke, and you aim towards jungle and put your crosshair on the imaginary spot where that buildings corner would be if the roof and wall lines continued going and interested (it makes sense if you see it) and jump throw, you can get jingle Smoked from the same spot. Have a teammate drop your a smoke on their way by and one guy can smoke ticket and jungle by himself with two quick throws from the same spot.
