I think they probably underestimated how much time they needed to get the game out and ran into a few things last minute that were just taking them like all day to figure out or a couple days. It's not just a 1:1 port since its a new engine and a new server to interact with. It's gonna be a bit like the launch of GO I think. A bit of a rough start but they listen to the community and end up making a good ass game
Bro what did people expect a story mode ? A new case and operation and 10 new maps on launch ? Valve does things methodically and tries to do them right first time, it isn't the games fault people are adhd kids who you can get the attention of by dangling keys. Compare CS2 to any other AAA block buster title in the last few years, its so much more polished and well rounded , people are just moronic and want CS to be like fortnite with a thanos event or smth. Look at starfield, hell look at payday3 way less server load and it crashed day 1 and it was a lazy rehash of their old game. CS2 had 500k viewers on twitch alone who started installing and playing as soon as it dropped and it worked just fine for most.
And i dont get people hating on cs not dropping with all these gamemodes and crappy old maps, most people dont even touch wingman let alone a goofy niche mode like scoutsman.
