  1. The best advice in this game really is super simple, just drone. It’s been in the game since day 1. Drones have purpose.

  2. “Ask your teammates to drone for you” yesterday I asked a Vigil to roam off site and he told me no and called me the n word

  3. my issue isnt the tdm meta its the "dont talk until the final round and shit talk the one person who has been droning people in and communicating for 35 minutes but he is last alive on the 1v5 so he is trash and deserves to be trash talked" meta

  4. A lot easier when your teammates don’t open TikTok within 0.2 nano seconds of dying

  5. So true. I've had at least 3 instances where I drone in, someone shoots the drone, yet for some reason STAYS where they shot it from. Such an easy kill

  6. Defense already gets default setups. Ubi should just preplace drones that ping defenders when they walk in view. Players want to be John Wick not emergency dispatchers.

  7. Idk what game ur playing, but if I ask my teammates to do that, I would either get ignored, teamkilled or called the N word…

  8. Intel is key in all these online multiplayer games. Using recon agents in valorant helps tenfold as well.

  9. On defense, I recommend learning Smoke/Goyo. Hell even learn Tachanka, he’s fun if you treat the Bearing-9 as his primary weapon.

People love to face check and RUSH, and they’ll burn through any shields with Iana nades or Gonne-Sex. This strategy takes advantage of everyone being spread out, and one person getting caught off guard, so no one can trade them in time. However, a Smoke gas, a Chanka fire, or a Goyo lunchbox, will stall for a long enough time for a teammate to come by, evening out that gunfight SUBSTANTIALLY.

And if you’re not comfortable playing Smoke with no shield. Ask the Thorn/Warden main (yes, you know which one) to give you a hand with that.

  10. The ridiculous amount of racism, selfishness, and lack of drone and camera usage from people who aren't your friends or the very rare minority of siege players who want to win is why vids like this can't really provide much😞😞

It's hard af to get a stack you can really mess with. Also, I REALLY wish ubi did something about the racism and the camera thing. "The camera thing" I'm talking about is when a person on the team dies, immediately opens up tiktok, and refuses to let go of a camera/drone. Now intel is gone cause someone, who should just be playing cod with their low attention span, is playing siege😑

  11. I often play with friends and calling out where you were shot from or where a target might be has been ultra helpful just don’t keep yelling different directions orders and callouts it’s way to much and will get your teammate killed I would know that’s in the top 5 for ways I die

  12. I feel like TDM meta isn’t meta because it’s actually good, it’s just the community being super lazy and oftentimes very toxic as well. Literally had some 17 year old yesterday scream at his own team for trying to use drones because “that’s not how siege is played now”

  13. As if anyone would actually warn me with my preplaced drone.

There’s really no point in droning if nobody is gonna participate in helping you utilize them.

Many times too I’ll drone for myself and my whole team will die within the 10 seconds it takes for me to do that

  14. I miss the 15 second meta. Last season, I was playing all utility and I made it to emerald 1 solo queuing with a 1.2 k/d for the majority of the season. This season, utility is irrelevant in diamond-champ lobbies and I have a 0.6 k/d. I’ve not had a k/d below a 0.85 since operation Chimera!

  15. Usually 3 out of the 5 drones on my team just dont move and call it a day.
Worst thing is they dont even pick it up for later use. Fucking golds lol.

  16. Funny enough, the biggest people engaging in the TDM metas are the Warden mains who also can't stop trying to spawn peak for five seconds

  17. Bro can it just stop being a tdm meta already, let it be for people who use thier brains and understand gadgets and need some teamwork

  18. the funniest thing about the TDM meta is if you find yourself in a 1v1 and see the opponent is a warden, you can just set yourself up in the most defensible spot possible and wait. doesn't matter if there's 5 seconds left he will be sprinting toward you no matter what

  19. The whole reason why there's a tdm meta is because Ubisoft is pushing quicker games. Look at Quick Match, you don't even need to find site. Sure, you still need to find who they are, but that doesn't matter. Not to mention you need to push before the defenders get too comfortable. Either setting everything up or getting all their gadgets, since people like Azami and Wamai get their gadgets overtime. What they need to do is promote a slower game like it was earlier in siege. I think they need it now more than ever. Because it you stop pushing as an attacker for even a second, you're costing yourself big time

  20. Anti-TDM tips:
For defenders: Play intel and flank blockers (Mute, Castle, Smoke, Mira, Goyo, Kapkan etc.) and trappers (Kapkan, Frost, Thorn). TDM ers only succeed when they get good pre-push intel and easy entry. Make them work for their way in and you'll get easy pickings.

For attackers: Exactly what Gregor said! I also find attackers who can soften the sight to be really good (Fuze, Twitch, Maverick, Ram, Flores). Flank watch will also handle that ONE pesky TDM roamer (Jackal, Gridlock, Nomad).

You'll notice that the counter to the TDM meta is literally using the Utility meta lol.

  21. How to fix the tdm meta. Remove 1.5 from any operator who doesn't need it, ex: warden, wamai, iana. They all have other utility to make up for it. And it'll make it so that people who flock to warden because of the 1.5 will have to pick someone else, give higher powered acoped to people who do need it, EX: tachanka, rook. They have less going for them, especially being a 1 speed. Either that or give everyone every scope so that it balances out, but the former option is better. Second, give attackers better guns and abilities, stop nerfing them so hard all the time. Defenders have the advantage a majority of the time. The clock, the site, everything is on their side. They have roamers, anti utility, etc. It requires much less coordination to defend than attack. So giving attackers better guns and abilities would help EX: quiet mavs torch down a bit tho not fully silent, make guns with high horizontal recoil have less, etc. Defenders will have the map and the timer going for them, they'll get to roam and shit like that. And since attackers will be more dangerous with their guns (because as of now degender guns heavily overpower attacker guns) and abilities, Defenders will have to coordination better with their ops and teammates. Finally, stop making huge fucking maps, like theme park, or emrald plains.

  22. I think that squads should get a share drone option because the amount I drone compared to my friends can be the detriment to our push especially when I lose both of them by then it just becomes shooting in the dark

  23. Me and my friends basically stopped playing. Intel only goes so far when we cant even get inside the building. We got sick of it, and its not the game's fault, its just how the game is now and we dont have as much fun. Shit happens.

  24. So pretty much play the game the way it’s intended to be played and you’ll stop a meta of brainless zombies sprinting around and getting kills. Now if only everyone did this it would be nice but everyone likes kills. A lot of people don’t have the attention span for 3 mins nowadays 😢

  25. Dude ppl dont get how much drones change a whole match especially if the team only sends out one drone to find site and stacks there and there always a drone at ur feet and ur always getting yellowed or even red pinged ive got slammed by some teams because of there drone activity

  26. yea…. but how when you have teammates that do the EXACT opposite of what you ask them to do!

  27. Dokk works great against solis, even better if you have an iq to comm where she is

  28. Could you do a video/short on how different holes (giggity) are used for setup?

Feet holes, head holes, vault holes, crouch holes, standing holes, and whatever eldritch combination thereof?

I'm sure to you, they're intuitive. But I just got reamed out for putting a crouch hole in the red stair/cash wall instead of a vault hole.

  29. Easiest was to counter TDM meta is the play smart basically, if u cant out gun them outsmart them. U can win a round without anyone dying (technically) but the problem is people complaining about TDM meta while they themselves play into TDM meta.

  30. This TDM meta has also emphasized for me the importance of having a team to work with (primarily for the attacking side, defense is where the problem mostly lies). Solo queuing, while not abysmally challenging, still sets you at a disadvantage right off the bat as you can’t really make coordinated plays with random players who 9 times out of 10 don’t have comms. Droning out is especially useful, which is why I think operators such as Solas, Mute, and Mozzie dominate this meta, they offer counter intelligence that, unlike Valkyrie, also takes away the attacking teams’ info. Honestly I preferred the utility meta, at the very least it required attackers to make more tactical plays and it made players actually play operators primarily for their gadgets rather than their guns like the current TDM. Thorn and Warden are two fantastic examples of why the TDM meta is bad for R6. 2 operators with gadgets that are outclassed by their peers, but the operators have insanely high pick rates (especially for how bad their gadgets are) all because they have good guns that offer 1.5x sights. When Heavy Mettle launched I was expecting for Warden to lose his 1.5 but instead that doesn’t happen and now when I solo queue I still have a teammate picking warden over someone like Jager all because they’re looking for frags rather than utility that benefits the team. This TDM meta puts a strain on the core focus of the game, people working together as a team. Why do what benefits the team when you can just win games with ease? Engagements are no longer exactly tactical at this point. Rather it’s just a contest on who can peek faster or who fires first. Ubisoft literally took away Alibi’s 1.5 but did nothing to make her gadget more effective. So what are they doing here with Warden or Thorn? They clearly don’t care about the core problems of these operators so why are they just deliberately making the game less fun for everyone else?
